Sweden's Ice Hotel-3 Days

Itinerary-3 Days

Day 1: To Kiruna

Morning flight to Kiruna via Stockholm. You will be met and transferred from the airport to the Ice Hotel via husky sledge, an approximate journey time of 1 hour and 15 minutes. Pulled by 12 dogs, each sledge carries four passengers and a guide. Arrive and check in to the Ice Hotel, where your first night will be in a cold room. After check in, join a shared orientation tour of the hotel. (N)

Day 2: Ice Hotel

This morning, you will visit a local Sami homestead for an insight into the everyday life and rich culture of the Sami people. You will have the opportunity to drive a reindeer sleigh and try traditional Sami food, prepared and served over a campfire. This evening, take a snowmobile excursion in search of the magical northern lights, including dinner served in a wilderness camp. During the excursion, your guide will explain some of the facts and myths surrounding this magical celestial phenomenon. Stay overnight in one of the Ice Hotel's warm rooms. (B, L, D)

Day 3: Depart Home

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight via Stockholm back Home. (B)
