Itinerary-12 Days
Day 1: Fly to Ulan Bator via Seoul (N)
Day 2: Ulan Bator
Arrive in Ulan Bator and stay at the Hotel for 2 nights. (N)
Day 3: Ulan Bator
Visit the Gandan monastery, the National Museum, Chinggis Square and the Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan. Evening traditional music performance. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Gurvanbulag
Travel east to the Gurvanbulag Community Ger Camp to gain an insight into the nomadic lifestyle. Stay 2 nights. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Gurvanbulag
Spend the day with the nomads and watch them catch horses using an uurga – a traditional wooden lasso. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Khustain Nuruu • Ulan Bator
Return via the Khustain Nuruu National Park, the home of the takhi (Przewalski’s horse). Continue to the Hotel for a 1-night stay. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Fly to the Gobi desert
Fly south to Dalanzadgad, and drive to the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. Stay 3 nights at the Lodge. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Eagle (Yol) Valley
Continue to Eagle Valley. Visit the Gobi glacier en route (subject to environmental conditions). (B, L, D)
Day 9: The Flaming Cliffs • Moltsog Els
Drive north to an area known as Bayanzag, famous for its red cliffs of sandstone rock, and Moltsog Els, one of the few regions of the Gobi desert covered by large sand dunes. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Fly to Ulan Bator
Drive to Dalanzadgad and fly to Ulan Bator. Overnight at Hotel . (B, L, D)
Day 11: Fly to Seoul
Late evening flight to Seoul. Overnight at the hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 12: Fly back home (B)
