Day 4: Hazyview

We recommend a day inside the Kruger National Park,on a guided safari. (B)

Day 5: Piggs Peak

Morning drive across the Swaziland border to Piggs Peak. Stay 2 nights at  Lodge. Afternoon at leisure or hike along one of the self-guided trails. (B)

Day 6: Piggs Peak

Day at leisure or take a short visit to Nsangweni Rock Art and lunch at Maguga Lodge afterwards (payable locally). (B)

Day 7: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Drive south to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary via the Ngwenya glass factory. Stay 2 nights at Lodge. (B)

Day 8: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Day at leisure or take optional activities. (B)

Day 9: Mkhaya Game Reserve

Drive to Mkhaya Game Reserve, Swaziland’s premier wildlife reserve, and stay 2 nights in Camp. Afternoon guided walk or drive in open 4x4 Land Rovers. (B, L, D)

Day 10: Mkhaya Game Reserve

Full-day safari activities. (B, L, D)

Day 11: Mkuze

Drive across the border back into South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal. Stay 2 nights at Hotel. For wildlife enthusiasts, the property is within striking distance of Mkuzi Game Reserve, the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park (world heritage site) and Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve. (B)

Day 12: Mkuze

Morning Myeni cultural experience which includes a visit to a local homestead and an opportunity to interact with members of a Myeni family, experience a visit to a sangoma (traditional healer) and sample traditional food and drink. Afternoon at leisure or optional excursions. (B)

Day 13: The battlefields

Drive to the Anglo-Zulu battlefields and stay 2 nights at Hotels. Afternoon at leisure. (B, L, D)

Day 14: The battlefields

Full-day guided tour of Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift. (B, L, D)

Days 15-16: Fly to home
