Day 1: Fly to Marrakech

Fly to Marrakech. Transfer to the Hotel for 2 nights. (N)

Day 2: Marrakech

City tour of Marrakech, finishing at Djemaa el Fna square to watch the street entertainers. (B)

Day 3: Ouarzazate

Drive to Ouarzazate over the Tichka Pass. Overnight at Hotel. (B)

Day 4: Zagora

Drive south through the mountain ranges of the Anti-Atlas towards the Sahara desert and the town of Zagora in the Draa river valley. Stay at the Hotel for 1 night. (B)

Day 5: Merzouga

Journey through the wild country of the Jebel Sahro ranges via the Saharan town of Rissani, a crossroads between north and south and formerly a major caravan centre. Continue into the desert for one night in a private tented camp. (B, D)

Day 6: Skoura

Drive through the Dades valley, along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, to Skoura, an oasis town surrounded by shady palm groves. Stay at Hotel for 1 night. (B)

Day 7: Taroudant

Drive west to the 16th-century town of Taroudant, a major market centre with local craft workshops. Overnight at Hotel (B)

Day 8: Essaouira

Continue west and then north along the coast to the fortified city of Essaouira. Stay at the Hotel for 3 nights. (B)

Days 9-10: Essaouira

At leisure. Excursions available include walking tours and boat trips. The town and beach are delightful places to wander. (B)

Day 11: Fly home

Transfer to Marrakech / Essaouira airport and fly home. (B)
