Day 1: Fly to Surabaya (N)

Day 2: Surabaya

Arrive and transfer to Hotel .Trips to Mount Bromo can be arranged from Surabaya. (N)

Day 3: Malang

Drive to Malang via the Purwodadi botanical gardens and stay overnight at the hotel, which houses a collection of Indonesian antiques and curios. (B, L)

Days 4-5: Blitar

Continue east to Blitar and visit the museum and tomb dedicated to Indonesia’s first president, Sukarno, and the Penataran temple complex. Stay at the hotel for 2 nights. (B, L)

Day 6: Solo

Train journey across Java to Solo (Surakarta). Stay for 2 nights at the Hotel. (B)

Day 7: Solo

Full-day tour including the Keraton (palace), Klewer market and Sukuh, a 15th-century Javanese-Hindu temple. (B, L)

Days 8-9: Yogyakarta

Drive to Indonesia’s cultural centre of Yogyakarta and visit the magnificent ninth-century Hindu temple of Prambanan and the Candi Plaosan Buddhist temple. Stay at the Hotel for 2 nights. 

Day 10: Borobudur

Visit Borobudur, a ninth-century Mahayana Buddhist monument, then drive into the jungle to Resort for 1 night. (B, L)

Days 11-12: Fly to Ubud

Fly to Denpasar in Bali and transfer to Ubud. Stay at the Hotel for 2 nights. Take a short tour of Ubud town and the beautiful rice terraces at Tegalalang (B)

Days 13-14: Fly home (B)
