Day 1: Fly to Siem Reap (N)

Day 2: Siem Reap

Arrive in Siem Reap and stay at Hotel for 3 nights. (N)

Day 3: Angkor temples

Full-day discovery of Angkor’s temples with an expert guide who will suggest ways of avoiding the crowds or seeing the places that interest you the most. A sample tour starts at Ta Prohm before the crowds arrive, then on to Banteay Srei temple. Afternoon visit to the smaller, outer temples, then into the countryside for a private cooking lesson. Day 4: Angkor temples

Watch the sun rise over the royal bathing pool of Sra Sang near the Banteay Kdei temple, then enjoy breakfast at Sala Kdei, a beautiful traditional wooden house. Afterwards, visit the legendary Angkor Wat temple. In the afternoon, tour Angkor Thom and Bayon. Dinner at the Sala Roluos private house in the countryside outside Siem Reap. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Phnom Penh

Optional morning helicopter ride over Angkor Wat and Tonlé Sap (must be pre-booked), then drive to Phnom Penh and transfer to the Hotel for a 3-night stay. (B)

Day 6: Phnom Penh

Begin at Wat Phnom, the city’s first pagoda, then visit some of the iconic buildings that tell the story of Phnom Penh. See French colonialera buildings, hidden back-street Chinese temples and the French Embassy, site of the final evacuation of foreigners still in the city when the Khmer Rouge took over in 1975. Finish the tour with a view over the capital from one of its highest points. (B, L)

Day 7: Phnom Penh

Day at leisure. Optional tour to visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the killing fields of Choeung Ek. Explore the National Museum with its collection of Angkor-era art at your own pace. Optional evening Mekong river sunset cruise (shared excursion – book in advance). (B)

Day 8: Kep

Drive from Phnom Penh to Kep and stay at the hotel for 3 nights. (B)

Days 9-10: Kep

Days at leisure. Optional excursions to the beaches of Koh Tonsay island, walking in Kep National Park or visits to cave temples. (B)

Days 11-12: Fly home
Take an overnight flight home and arrive the next day (B)​
